High school football teams were taking advantage of the rare nice weather on Friday, using one of their 10 days of summer practice to get in some work for the upcoming season.

Ontario and Crestview held a 7 on 7 practice to get their skill position players some live reps. The first time either team had competed against another school this offseason. Both teams coaches and players said they were excited about getting back on the playing field and each squad is optomistic about their teams potential.

Crestview is coming off a difficult 2-8 2012 campaign, but does return 10 starters on each side of the ball. The Warriors, who had very high expectations last season, missed the playoffs with a 6-4 mark, but do return area scoring leader RB Jordan Campbell and the majority of their skill players.

The high school football season kicks off August 30.
