Original Published: 7/14/2013 The turnout was sparse but those participating in the first-ever Madison Township Lion's Club "Lions Spectacle 4-Miler" had a beautiful day for a run. The event began and ended at Madison High School, according to Lions Club member Tom Ford. One dozen people pre-registerd for the event and Ford had hoped for a big walk-up crowd. Participants also could donate a pair of eyeglasses at the 4-miler. For nearly 100 years, Lions Club members have worked on projects designed to prevent blindness, restore eyesight and improve eye health and eye care for hundreds of millions of people worldwide.
