He may be just 15 years old, but Ontario sophomore-to-be Chaise Nelson continues to do big things in the sport of boxing.  Nelson just returned home from the Junior Olympics in Mobile, Alabama where he earned a silver medal.  He's now prepping for a trip to fight at the Junior World Championships to be held in September in Kiev, Ukraine.

Nelson is ranked #1 in the country in the 125lb Jr. Division of team USA, in the world rankings he is 10th.  According to his trainers Billy Salser and Mike Nelson team USA wants "Chaise" to be exposed to all types of boxing, hense the trip to Europe.  Nelson says most European fighters tend to want to "slug it out", while American fighters want to "stick and move."  Nelson's altimate goal is to make the US Boxing team in time for the 2016 Olympics.

Coming up on August 17th at Ontario High School, Chaise Nelson will practice his craft in a 15 bout fight night that is still in the planning stages called the Warrior Brawl which is scheduled to start at 5pm.  As it stands right now, the fight will be held in the middle school gym.
