Malabar Farm Big House Being Re-Painted

The historical Big House at Malabar Farm State Park is getting a facelift.

All of the old paint has been stripped off, and as soon as the weather gets less humid and the wood siding can dry out, a new coat of white paint will be applied.

The project started in May and should be completed by early to mid-August. 

Park Manager Korre Boyer says the home of Louis Bromfield from 1941 to 1956, and the site of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall's wedding in 1946, is certainly worth preserving in pristine condition.  

The Malabar Farm Big House will be re-dedicated during Heritage Days, September 28th and 28th.
