The Bromfield Library and Information Commons at Ohio State-Mansfield and North-Central State College is undergoing a major renovation.

The $2-million project was given a $25,000 dollar boost Thursday, with the Shelby Foundation presenting a check to the schools.

The work has already started in the library, on the first floor of Bromfield Hall.

Ohio State-Mansfield Dean and Director Dr. Stephen Gavazzi says the improvements include the creation of an atrium at the library's entrance, quiet study rooms, a digital media room, and new carpet, paint, and lighting.

The Bromfield Library renovations should be completed in January.

The project is part of the "But For Ohio State Mansfield" capital campaign, which is nearly 2/3 toward its $3-million  goal.
