One of the best soccer players to ever come out of this area Ryan Pore, who was an All-Ohioan at Madison, a two time All-American at Tulsa University and played professionally in the MLS, was back home at Madison South earlier this holding an instructional soccer camp for area players.

In addition to teaching soccer fundamentals, Pore told the young players to keep playing the game because you never know what can happen and if they hope to play at the next level, they have to pay attention to not only their conditioning but their nutrition and sleeping habits.  The 2002 graduate of Madison High School now is an assistant varsity soccer coach at Tulsa University.
