Six people have been arrested at a Bellville area motel following a human trafficking investigation by the Richland County Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Impact Team.

Charged with a third-degree felony count of compelling prostitution is 34-year-old Anton Marcum of Mansfield, for his transporting of one of the women to conduct a sex-for-hire activity.

Five women are charged with misdemeanor counts of soliciting for prostitution.

They are 33-year-old Concetta Hill and 21-year-old Cassandra Coats, both of Mansfield, 28-year-old Salvina Knox and 26-year-old Latoya Pickens, both of Columbus, and 48-year-old Neona McDaniel of Massillon.

The investigation came about after information was received that local females addicted to narcotics were being prostituted in Richland County and transported to other states when they performed sex for hire.

The operation's objective was to identify the suspects and victims in this crime and attempt to intercede before the females become victims of violent crimes.
