Residents of a mobile home escaped injury or worse late Saturday night, when what's described as a microburst  storm knocked over a vacant trailer next to theirs.

It happened at Hickory Grove Mobile Home Park on County Road 59 near Johnsville in Morrow County.

The vacant trailer on lot 87 was knocked over by the storm packing strong winds and raining quarter-sized jail, and up against the trailer on lot 86, owned by Greg and Brenda Hunt.

Their pick-up truck was in the driveway, and was totalled when the trailer fell on top of it.

But the Hunts' home was not damaged and while shocked and frightened, they escaped unhurt.

The storm blew a trampoline from a yard on Township Road 235 into a utility pole, knocking it down and causing a power failure in the mobile park.

Emergency personnel swarmed the scene to make sure everyone was okay, and a power company crew repaired the downed line and restored electricity within five hours.

The also blew part of the porch roof off of a nearby home.
