Officially, with the exception of football which begins on Monday, the fall coaching season began Thursday for all high school sports.  That said, the Madison volleyball team got a jump start on the area by holding their first official practice at 12:01am Thursday morning under new coach Brian Votaw as the Rams look to improve on last season's 18-5 finish.

With the loss of only one senior from a year ago, coach Votaw likes what he has coming back from a team that finished second to OCC volleyball champ and rival Lexington.  Votaw, in his first season at Madison says he'll be looking for leadership from three experienced Rams in Mekaila Grose, Katie Wagner and Chase Carper.
