Original Published: 8/18/2013More than 100 students about to head to classes will benefit from Real Life Community Church's school supply giveaway held Friday night at the church at 670 Kentucky Avenue in Mansfield. The church's Director of ACTS Ministry, Cathy Kiley, says they handed out more than one-hundred book bags filled with school supplies. This is the fourth year for the school supply giveaway and Kiley says it's certainly grown in that time. The school supply giveaway was held in conjunction with the church's monthly meal which is held the third Friday. Musical entertainment was also offered, along with lots of games for the children like cornhole and others. Licensed beauticians also were on hand to provide free haircuts to the youngsters. Kiley says the number one reason for the school supply giveaway is to make Christ known to the community.
