Ontario Schools are back in session for another year. The middle and high school students arrived first Wednesday morning, and were in their classrooms for first period hard at work. Then the bell rings and it's time to make their way to the next class and through the day. Stingel intermediate and elementary students arrived later on their buses and eagerly streamed into the building. Superintendent Lisa Carmichael says the new school year brings 24 new staff members replacing retired teachers, and 280 new open enrollment students. Ontario Schools are also implementing all new bus routes to save time and money, so Carmichael urges parents to be patient in case of any delays. She is optimistic the new school year will have Ontario maintaining its Excellent rating on the state report card, if not achieving the highest rating of Excellent with Distinction.
