Five People Arrested Following Two Search Warrants Served

  Original Published: 8/22/2013 Five people were arrested on drug-related charges by the METRICH Enforcement Unit Thursday, following a county-wide drug sweep with two search warrants being served. The first search warrant was served at a home at 145 Sturges Avenue in Mansfield. Detectives arrested 27-year-old Michael Marshall and charged him with felony counts of possession of heroin and a probation violation, along with misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also seized at the home were heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A second search warrant was served at 1187 Burger Avenue in Mansfield where three people were arrested and a small child in the home was released to a family member under the guidance of Richland County Children Services. 46-year-old Wilma Lindsay was charged with four felony counts of drug trafficking. 50-year-old Douglas Lindsay was charged with a felony count of possession of heroin and misdemeanor counts of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. 22-year-old Abraham Lindsay was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. Detectives also seized heroin, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and cash. METRICH and the U.S. Marshal's Task Force also are seeking 39 suspects who were indicted with a total of 113 felony charges. U.S. Marshals has already located 16 of the suspects in connection to the drug sweep.
