Well wishers gathered Sunday at the Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield for the send-off party for Miss Ohio 2013 Heather Wells.

Wells is leaving Labor Day to compete in the Miss America Scholarship Program in Atlantic City.

Wells modeled some of her wardrobe she'll be wearing during the competition. Several Miss Ohio contestants also performed at the party.

Wells says she's excited about her preparations for the big competition.

Wells is working on a Master's Degree in nutrition at Kent State University. Her goal is to become a dietitian and health correspondent.

The 2014 Miss America Scholarship Program will kick-off with preliminary competition Sept. 10-12. The finals competition is Sunday, Sept.15 live at 9 p.m. on ABC.
