The Madison Rams will open the football season at home Friday night against Shelby looking for their third straight win over their county rivals. For Madison coach Sean Conway, week one is the whole season at this point saying his team is not quite where it should be, but is in the process of getting there. The Rams will be looking to replace a veteran offensive line, quarterback and running back from a season ago from an offense that in three games racked up over 500 yards of offense, all of it on the ground. Though Madison lost 15 seniors from last season, they do return 20 letter winners from a team that went 10-2, winning a share of the OCC and advanced to the regional semifinal in D-2, losing to eventual state champion Toledo Central Catholic. The last Shelby win over Madison came back in 2010, at Skiles Field, in coach Sean Conway's first season on Esley Lane by a final of 40-20.
