West Holmes gave defending OCC volleyball champion Lexington their first loss on the season in five games by scores of 27-25, 13-25, 19-25, 28-26 and 15-13 picking up their first win of the season to improve to 1-1 in all games and in conference. Lexington coach Bobbi Weaver said afterwards that with a young team they are having trouble staying focused when they get a lead saying they are missing assignments and must play more consistent. For West Holmes coach Jim Park, he felt as though his team played better than their experience with the squad full of sophomores. Park also commented that he was proud the way his team came back after losing the second and fourth games of the five game set. With the loss Lady Lex falls to 2-1, 1-1 in the Ohio Cardinal Conference.
