Warriors Win Thriller Over Lexington.

It was a tale of two halves at Copeland Field on Friday night, ending with a thrilling overtime win by the home Warriors 44-43 over Lexington.

In the first half the Minutemen would hold Ontario to just 3 first downs and 7 points, by keeping talented tailback Jordan Campbell to 18 yards on 6 carries. Lexington would jump out to a 17-0 lead and held a 23-7 advantage at the break behind a pair of touchdowns from quarterback Trent Richwine.

In the third quarter the Warriors would get things going, as Campbell racked up over 100 yards and 2 scores in the frame. Ontario outscored the Minutemen 23-7 in the stanza, making it a 30-30 game heading into the 4th quarter.

Ontario would strike first in the 4th, but missed the extra point for a 6-point lead. Then Lexington would ralley back with just over 4-minutes to play to tie it up and also missed the extra point to make it 36-all. On the insuing kickoff Ontario's Cameron Mack would take it back for a 100-yard touchdown, but the score would be negated by a pair of careless penalties.The Warriors would fail to score on the drive, sending the game into overtime.

In the extra frame it would be Lexington taking a 43-36 lead on their opening possession, which the Warriors answered with a touchdown drive of their own. However, Ontario elected to go for the 2-point conversion and Campbell would punch it in for an exciting 1- point win 44-43.

Campbell finished the night with 20 carries for 154 yards and 3 TD's. Quarterback Tyler Boatwright threw for 240 yards on 12 completions, 8 of those to Mack who finished with 214 yards and a TD.

Lexsington's Richwine had a solid game in a losing effort with 200 yards on 20 carries and 3 TD's, and threw for 98 yards and 2 TD's. Lexington will play at Shelby (0-1) next Friday, while Ontario travels to Clear Fork (1-0).
