Nelson Mandela Is Now Out Of The Hospital

  Original Published: 9/2/2013 Former South African President Nelson Mandela is out of the hospital, according to the South African President's Office. He's expected to continue his recovery at his home in Johannesburg. Mandela had been in the hospital with a lung infection since June 8. The South African President's Office says Mandela's condition is still critical and, at times, unstable, but doctors believe he will receive the same level of treatment at home he received at the hospital. Mandela was elected South Africa's first black president in 1994 and retired five years later after one term in office.
