It may only be week 2, but Friday's game between Ontario and Clear Fork will be a big one for each squad. Both the Warriors and Colts come off of high scoring overtime wins against old rivals in week 1 and will be seeking a 2-0 start to kick off the season.

Ontario defeated Lexington at home last Friday, a 44-43 thriller in which the Warriors came from 17-down to win on a 2-point conversion. Ontario showed a tremendous amount of big play ability in the contest, something Colts head coach Dave Carroll certainly noticed.

"You've got to get to the ball very quickly, get off blocks because they are extremely fast and athletic." Carroll says.

He recognized solid tackling as the key to the teams success, particularly when it comes to Warriors running back Jordan Campbell and wide receiver Cameron Mack. Clear Fork defensive end Brandon Luers agreed that stopping Ontario's two biggest stars will be a difficult task.

"We know that Cameron and Jordan have a lot of speed." Luers says. "We just have to take angles and gang tackle them."

Luers says executing a solid gameplan all starts on the practice field, and Warriors head coach Scott Kreger believes his kids have had a quality week of work so far. Kreger also recognized the amount of talent the Colts displayed in week one and says his team will need an excellent performance to slow them down.

"We have to come out and play our 'A' game, there's no doubt about that." Kreger says. "They're stout on both sides of the ball."

"It's definitely gonna be a challenge." Mack says. "They have pretty good athletes."

While Mack, who had 8 recepions for 214 yards and a score against the Minutemen, says he respects Clear Fork, he didn't shy away from making a prediction. "It'll be a W. We're gonna get a win." Mack says.

Ontario will travel to Clear Fork to battle the Colts Friday at 7 p.m. The contest can be seen on replay on WMFD Sunday at 3 p.m. and on sister station WOHZ Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m.
