Marion man killed in two-vehicle accident on Ohio 529

A two-vehicle accident has claimed the life of a Marion man. The Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred Thursday around 12:27 p.m. on Ohio 529 south of Marion Edison Rd.

Nicholas J. Worden, 27, was traveling on his 2008 Yamaha Motorcycle northbound on Ohio 529 and failed negotiate a curve. The motorcycle went left of center and struck a 2002 Chevrolet Truck 2500 series southbound truck driven by James R. Ryan, of Marion.

 Worden's motorcycle came to rest on the east side of the roadway. Troopers say he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Worden was transported to Marion General Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Ryan was not injured in the crash which remains under investigation.
