Minutemen Start Off Strong, Hold Off Whippets 28-12

The Whippets of Shelby played host to the Lexington Minutemen as both teams looked for their first win of the season. Lexington scored the first three touchdowns or the game as senior quarterback, Trent Richwine accounted for two on the ground and one in the air. Richwine lead Lexington to a 21-0 lead at halftime. Shelby's senior quarterback, Spencer Blevins, found the endzone twice in the second half. Once on the ground and once through the air to Coalton Webb. Despite Webb's 220 yards receiving and 24 tackles by Tristan Kehres, the Whippets came up short to the Minutemen, 28-12.
