Hoban Stops Warriors

The Ontario girls soccer team fell for the first time this season to Akron Archbishop Hoban by a final of 4-2 at Ontario's soccer complex. The Knights found the back of the net first at the 29:08 mark of the first half on a goal by Sydney Huckabee. Ontario would answer back to tie the game at a goal each, when Abbey Brokaw scored at the 14:09 mark of the first half and at the break it was Ontario 1, Hoban 1. In the second half, Hoban would regain the lead at 23:29 of the second half, when the Knight's Alex Sheldon put Hoban up 2-1. But the Warriors would tie the game at two all with 5:40 left on a goal off a corner kick and header by Mackenna Papst. But Hoban would strike right back just :21 seconds later, when co-captain Mykaela Zingale put a shot down main street giving the Knights the lead for good at 3-2. Hoban would end the day's scoring with 4:06 remaining on a free kick by co-captain Katie Easton, making the final 4-2 in favor of the Knights. With the win Akron Hoban improves to 8-0-1, while the the Warriors fall to 7-1.
