  Original Published: 9/16/2013 The Miss America pageant returned to Atlantic City Sunday to crown a new winner. Nina Davuluri became the first Indian-American to win Miss America. She competed with the platform "Celebrating Diversity Through Cultural Competency." Davuluri is the second Miss New York in a row, to take home the Miss America crown. Miss California, Crystal Lee, is the runner-up.
