The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Richland County welcomed two new board members at their monthly meeting Tuesday.

Agency exective director Joe Trolian said Monica Durham and Mary Bolin are the new board members.

"With the combination of the two state departments into one the Ohio Department of Mental Health Services and the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services have become one agency," Trolian said.

"They have given us the option to go to a 14 member board from a 18 member board. This is something we've been working on for a number of years. In a county this size its very difficult to maintain a board of 18 members. So this allowed us to continue to have one good representation from the community but also maintain a working number of board members," Trolian said.
