Usually, big ball games come in the second half of the season maybe between week eight and ten. But here in week four, 3-0 Galion will host 3-0 Colonel Crawford in a key North Central Conference matchup at Heise Park in Galion. The Tigers and Eagles boast two of the best quarterbacks in the area. Galion with Dareian Watkins, Crawford with Nate Klingenberger. Through three games Watkins has 780 yards of total offense accounting for 11 touchdowns, five by running. The Eagles's Klingenberger has rolled up 923 yards of offense with ten TD's. Six coming through the air. When he does throw, Watkins favorite target has been Alex Armistad with 12 receptions for 222 yards and four touchdowns. Two other Tigers Cario Davison and Jermaine Burket have seven receptions between them with a touchdown each. Klingenberger has two targets where the bulk of his passing yards have gone. Dylan Gulley has eight catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns, with Nick Adams getting 13 receptions for 206 yards and three scores. Marcus Garverick has hauled in five passes for 95 yards, Kam Landin has 99 yards on nine catches with one touchdown. Crawford's running game is divided between Klingenberger's 226 yards and running back Eli Reffey with 235 yards to go along with five touchdowns. Other than Watkins, the Tigers Nick Flowers has 104 yards on 19 carries. A year ago, the two teams combined for 85 points as the Tigers outscored the Eagles in the second half 22-0, enroute to a 50-35 win in week six. Both teams would advance to the OHSAA playoffs in 2012.
