Mom Charged Following Toddler's Joy Ride

  Original Published: 9/24/2013A mini-van left unattended with three toddlers inside struck a home Monday night on the southside of Mansfield. The crash occurred at 5:30 p.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. Police say one of the toddlers put the van into gear causing it to hit the home. "The van was parked at 327 S. Main St. with the toddlers inside. The vehicle slipped out of gear, rolled down the hill and hit the home at 323 S. Main St," Patrolman Orlando Chatman said. The van knocked off the front porch off the house. No one was injured in the accident. Chatman said the mother of the toddlers, Maygan Tackett, was charged with child endangering and issued an unattended motor vehicle citation.
