The Warriors are off to a 3-1 start after their 45-6 destruction of Willard in the programs first ever NOL contest. But without the teams top two running backs, Ontario will face a tough test on Friday when the speedy 3-1 Truckers roll into town.

Having missed the Warriors previous two games due to injury, senior RB Jordan Cambell will once again be sidelined on Friday, despite being a full participant at practice. Campbell's backup Shawn Van Horn suffered a season-ending leg injury last week against the Flashes, so Ontario will have to dig deep on the depth chart to find production from the running game this Friday.

Warriors head coach Scott Kreger says the teams loss at the running back position won't change the teams offensive philosophy, but they'll likely rely more on the duel threat ability of quarterback Tyler Boatwright this week. Junior Matt Eichelberger figures to get some work at RB after scoring a pair of touchdowns last week and says he's just going to do his thing and play for Shawn.

Kreger did emphasize the importance of open field tackling against a very fast Norwalk team, but creditied his veteran defense with doing a great job of that all season. Senior lineman John Coy says the team has been getting better week to week and that he is excited for the challenge Norwalks presents, but is "not too worried" about the Truckers speed. Coy noted that the team has already prevailed through a bunch of adversity, beginning with a come from behind win over Lexington in week one, and that this game will be no different.

Ontario and Norwalk are the top 2 scoring teams in the NOL, with the Truckers averaging 44 ppg, Warriors 38 ppg. Ontario holds the advantage in yards per game however, 374-362.

The Warriors and Truckers game can be seen Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. on WOHZ TV and Sunday at 3 p.m. on WMFD. Highlights and analysis can also be seen Friday night at 11:30 LIVE on Scores and More.
