Wynford Hangs On After Late Bucyrus Push, 41-40

The Bucyrus Redmen traveled to Wynford High School to take on their rival Wynford Royals. Wynford scored the only touchdown in the opening quarter as Corey Brown connected on a 10 yard pass to Keaton Teynor to give Wynford the 7-0 lead after one. The second quarter saw two touchdowns from each side as Bucyrus scored on a 3 yard run from Greg Patrick and a 75 yard pass from Cole Murtiff to Tyler Zehring. Wynford scored on a 4 yard Hayden Rhoades run and a 51 yarder from Brock Williamson. After outscoring Bucyrus 12-7 in the third quarter, the Wynford Royals were outscored 20-8 in the fourth. Murtiff for Bucyrus found Trent Niedekohr on a 7 yard touchdown, but the 2 point conversion was no good and Wynford hung on to beat Bucyrus for the 16th straight season, 41-40.
