Original Published: 9/29/2013 More than 100 walkers took part in Ashland Care Center's annual Lifewalk this past weekend. Ashland Care Center Executive Director Ducia Hamm says the walkers checked in at Corner Park in downtown Ashland before beginning the two-mile walk with a goal of raising $30,000. The Lifewalk has been held at Corner Park for the past five years and next year's event will see two new features added with 10-K and 5-K races. Ashland Care Center is a pro-life organization and Hamm says part of what they do with the Lifewalk is to send a message that all life is precious, from the time of fertilization to the time of a natural death, so they walk as a group to make a stand for life in Ashland County.
