The Warriors final non-conference game of the season will take them to the shores of Lake Erie for a battle with 2-3 Vermillion. The second time this season 3-2 Ontario will try to bounce back from a loss on the road against an old style wing-T offense.

Back in week four, the Warriors handled Willard by playing solid fundamental defense and Ontario head coach Scott Kreger says his team will have to do the same to be successful this Friday. Kreger says having played a team already that runs a similar offense will be helpful because they will see a style that requires them to "Read our keys and stay in our lanes." Kreger added that his defense will have to "Play some serious assignment football."

Offensively the Warriors will likely rely on senior quarterback Tyler Boatwright to carry the load again, after going 13-28 through the air for 208 yards and a score and rushing a career-high 33 times for 116 yards and a TD last week in a 40-12 loss to Norwalk.

"He's been our number one option on offense as far as being able to run the ball consistently." Kreger says. But coach would like to see his QB take less punishment this week and will look to mix in some throws for a multi-dimensional attack.

Kreger says the key for his kids to win the game will be eliminating mistakes. He believes if the Warriors cut back on turnovers and penalties and establish a physical presence on both sides of the ball that the teams long bus ride home Friday evening will be an enjoyable trip.

Ontario's game with the Sailors can be seen Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. on WOHZ TV and also at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon in high definition on WMFD. Highlights from that game and other great matchups in the area can also be seen Friday night on WMFD at 11:30 on Scores and More.
