Original Published: 10/4/2013Mansfield Motor Group on Park Avenue West has come up with a unique way of rewarding a high school senior, not only for their grades but their citizenship. The car dealership is accepting applications from members of the Class of 2014 at eight participating high schools, for a chance to win a brand new Nissan Versa. Dealership owner Dirk Schluter says to be eligible, seniors must have a three-point grade average, or improve their G-P-A from their junior year, and show they're law-abiding citizens. The winning student has the option of taking the car, or a $10,000 scholarship. Schluter says there are taxes for winning a car, while scholarship money is tax-free. Each school will select a finalist, and the eight seniors will be invited to the Mock Crash in April. Each will be given a key, and the one that unlocks the car is the winner.
