After opening the season with three straight losses, the 2-3 Ashland University football team will try to get back to the .500 mark when they host 5-0 Ohio Dominican University Saturday for Homecoming. The Panthers have not lost since the Eagles beat them 44-21 a season ago on October 6th, en route to their 11-0 regular season finish. This Saturday the AU defense will be put to the test as ODU averages just over 480 yards a contest scoring on average 40 points a game. Last week Ashland held Lake Erie to just ten points, while AU's offense rushed out to a 31-0 first half lead never allowing the Storm to get back in the game. On offense, Ashland's O-line controlled the game, so much so that Anthony Taylor ran for a school record 311 yards and four touchdowns setting a new single game rushing record. Kickoff is at 1pm at Jack Miller Stadium-Fred Martinelli Field Saturday. You can see the replay of this game at 6pm on WMFD-TV Mansfield.
