Tygers Hold Off West Holmes

  Original Published: 10/11/2013The Mansfield Tygers used three Hutch Blackstone field goals of 24, 34 and 25 yards en route to a 23-17 win over the Knight of West Holmes. The Tygers also got 201 yards passing from Jalen Reese, 135 yards rushing from Tyquan Vickers, with both Reese and Travon Harris scoring touchdowns as the Tygers gained 386 yards total in running their record to 7-0 on the season. West Holmes Luke Ogi led all runners with 164 yards on 21 carries scoring both the Knights touchdowns, running mate Layne Perone had 116 yards on 22 carries. Logan Gallion added a 25 yard field goal. With the win Mansfield Senior goes to 4-0 in OCC play 7-0 overall. West Holmes falls to 5-2, 2-2 in conference play. The Tygers travel to Wooster next week, while West Holmes takes on Lexington at home.
