Cougars Finish Third at State Golf

In their return trip to state as defending Division III champions, the Crestview golf team finished third with a two day total 665 (336-329) on Ohio State's Scarlet Golf Course in Columbus. The Cougars finished six strokes behind runner-up Gahanna Columbus Academy at 659, (323-336) and 18 back of D-3 champion Toledo Ottawa Hills at 647, (329-318). Individually for Crestview Josh Brooks shot 155, (80-75). Ben Olwiler 159, (78-81). Bryce Lutz 163, (81-82). Michael Staniford 188, (97-91) and Joe Stimpert 208, (103-105). The top six teams finished in this order, Toledo Ottawa Hills, Gahanna Columbus Academy, Crestview, Columbus Wellington School, West Liberty Salem and Lancaster Fisher Catholic. Crestview was trying to repeat as Division III state champions.  The low man of the two day tournament was Ottawa Hills Ben Silverman who shot  147, (75-72).
