Colts Edge Warriors In Season Finale

Two of the best girls soccer teams in the area met in the regular season finale at Ontario on Saturday. In what could turn out to be a Division II district tournament final, Clear Fork slipped past Ontario 1-0, on a penalty kick by the Colts Taylor Hetsler at the 13:18 mark of the first half. Both teams had 14 shots on goal with Clear Fork goal keeper Morgan Bailey getting 11 saves, while Ontario's Katherine Beech got ten. Clear Fork finsihes the regular season at 11-4, and will play Mansfield Senior in the D-2 sectional final Wednesday at Lexington at 6pm with the winner moving on to the D-2 district semifinal on Tuesday, October 22, at Ashland High School at 7pm. The Warriors finish at 12-2-2 and will play in the upper bracket sectional final on Saturday, October 19th, against Lexington or Madison with the winner moving on to the Ashland district semifinal at 5pm on October 22nd, to play either Sandusky Perkins or Norwalk. The D-2 district final will be Saturday, October 26th at Ashland High School at 1pm.
