The METRICH Enforcement Unit partnered with the Mansfield Police Department, Community Action for Capable Youth and the Richland County Solid Waste Management District this past weekend to conduct its bi-annual Prescription Drug Take Back Day. METRICH Enforcement Unit Commander Lieutenant Keith Porch says the purpose of the event is to take unwanted and unused medications from Richland County residents. Along with the Solid Waste Management's location on National Parkway in Mansfield, drop-off locations were also at the Bellville and Shelby Police Departments. A similar event was held in April.
