Make a Difference Day took place over the weekend in Mansfield and throughout Richland County in various locations. Make a Difference Day site coordinator Brenda Nelson, the director of the Mansfield Salvation Army's Dewald Community Center, explains how the national event plays out. Nelson says many volunteers helped out with various tasks at the Salvation Army. Volunteers also assisted with general cleaning, painting and litter pickup at other locations.
