  Original Published: 10/29/2013Ashland University Athletic Director Bill Goldring has been relieved of his duties for an unconfirmed amount of time. That according to college radio station WRDL 88.9, and the Ashland Times Gazette. In talking with AU Director of Public Relations Steve Hannan, he said he could not discuss any personnel issues. As to who was in charge of the Eagles athletic department for the time being, Hannan could not comment, nor could he say when an official word would be released on the matter. Goldring has been Athletic Director at Ashland University since 1997 and in that time he has helped to upgrade AU athletics to some of the best in the GLIAC and NCAA Division II.
