Madison will unveil their updated athletic facility in 2014 and invited members of the press and community to discuss the project on Thursday. The new Rams Field will be complete with a synthetic field turf and all-weather track surface.

Madison athletic director Kirk Manns said Thursday that some work has already begun and will continue until winter time. Manns said the base work for the track and field will be completed this fall and then the finish up in the spring when the winter weather breaks.

The total cost of the project is expected to be around $730,000, according to Manns. All of the money for the project was raised by private contributions and investments through the school's booster club and an athletic facilities committee.  The new facility will be called Ram Field at Startek Stadium.
