Panera Bread is open for business in its new location at 1402 Lexington Avenue in Mansfield, at the Johnny Appleseed Shopping Center. Mayor Tim Theaker cut the ribbon Friday morning, opening the store that employs 65 people. Panera Bread has been in Ontario for seven years, and looks forward to thriving in its second Richland County location. Panera Bread donates all unsold baked goods to charitable organizations at the end of each day. The grand opening also included the donation of $2000 to the Pat Kracker Breast Cancer Fund. The fund serves about 25 women a year, by helping them with expenses associated with breast cancer treatment, such as gasoline to drive to doctors' appointments.
