The 4-4 Ashland University Eagles will try to pick up their fifth win of the season when travel to Findlay Saturday, for a noon kickoff against the 5-3 Oilers. The Eagles got back to the .500 mark last week beating Malone 27-20 at Jack Miller Stadium-Fred Martinelli Field. Last week Findlay downed Lake Erie 48-27 behind Daiquone Ford's 317 yards and six touchdowns. Ashland coach Lee Owens says his team will probably have to score over 40 points to come away with a win as the Oilers average just over 37 points a contest and roll up on average 514 yards a game on offense. On the Ashland side of the ball, AU has been led by Anthony Taylor who has run for 1,302 yards and nine touchdowns through eight games. Owens comments that maybe the best defense against the Oilers may be to keep the football for long drives keeping Findlay's offense off the field. The Eagles will close the 2013 season next week at home when they take on Tiffin University at 1pm.
