Galion Shares NCC Title After Trumping Upper Sandusky, 27-0

In the final week of the high school football regular season, the (7-2) Upper Sandusky Rams traveled to Unckrich Stadium to take on the (8-1) Galion Tigers. The Tigers scored on their first drive of the game with a 21-yard touchdown run from Senior, Alex Armistad. The Tigers held Upper Sandusky scoreless for the remainder of the first half as Galion added seven more off of a 20-yard touchdown pass from Dareian Watkins to Jordan Valentine. Galion lead at the half, 14-0. There was no scoring in the 3rd quarter, but Dareian Watkins scored two touchdowns by himself in the fourth. The first one came on a 51-yard scamper to the endzone, and the last touchdown of the game was a 65-yard interception returned for a touchdown. Watkins finished with 112 yards rushing, 178 yards passing, 3 interceptions and 3 total touchdowns. Galion defeated Upper Sandusky 27-0, and clinched a share of the NCC Title with Colonel Crawford.
