Shelby Council Approves Contract For School Resource Officer

  Original Published: 11/5/2013Shelby City Council approved a resolution to approve a contract to hire a school resource officer for Pioneer Career and Technology Center. The legislation was approved Monday night during council's regular meeting to approve the contract for officer Paul Zehner who has been working with the school since the spring. In other business, council is preparing for the Festival of Lights-Christmas Magic in Shelby holiday event. Mayor John said the festival will be held the Sunday before Thanksgiving to kick-off the Christmas holiday. John said more information will be made available to the public in the upcoming weeks.
