The Richland County Commissioners opened bids Tuesday morning for an electric conversion project. Al Berger of M-K-C Associates says this will cut the county's electric bills for the courthouse and jail, paying-back to project's expense within seven years. The low bid of $132,000 was submitted by Lake Erie Electric of Mansfield. A contract will be awarded next week. The work will start in the early spring and take a few weeks to complete.
