Olympic Torch Now Aboard International Space Station

  Original Published: 11/9/2013 The Olympic torch is now aboard the International Space Station. Russia launched a Soyuz rocket carrying the torch and a crew of three Wednesday evening from the Bai-Konur Cosmo-drome. And Thursday morning, it docked with the space station. The flame was not lit during the trip, but cosmonauts will now take the torch outside for a spacewalk. It's all meant to promote the 2014 Winter Games, which begin in Sochi, Russia on February 7.
