Several hundred people attended the Mansfield Salvation Army's annual Civic Breakfast Tuesday morning at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center. The event kicks-off the Red Kettle campaign which seeks to raise at least $145,000 this holiday season. WMFD-TV and WVNO MIX 106 FM are also launching the 17th annual Million Pennies for Christmas drive, which raised nearly $11,000 for the Salvation Army last year. Pastor Paul Lintern was the featured speaker. He certainly supports the Salvation Army and its work, and hopes you will too. The winners of this year's "Doing the Most Good Award" are the Rehab Center, the Target store on Walker Lake Road in Ontario, Parent Aid, and Baker's Collision Repair Specialists, for their efforts to help the people the Salvation Army serves.
