Original Published: 11/13/2013It was another successful year for the 10th annual Taste of Ashland fundraiser. The Ashland County Cancer Association's event was held Tuesday evening in Mozelle Hall at the Ashland County Fairgrounds. The event featured more than 13 local restaurants, kitchens and food retailers with samples of their food, as well as a silent auction, rafle and an awards presentation. Erin Al-Mehairi, Chair of Taste of Ashland, said the event raises thousands of dollars each year in funds that go directly to serving cancer patients in Ashland County. The Ashland County Cancer Association is a non-profit that assists hundreds of people in Ashland County with cancer each year. The Taste of Ashland is the largest fund-raiser of the year for the Ashland County Cancer Association. During the event the ACCA honored several restaurants, businesses, organizations and volunteers that have supported the fundraiser for six years or more.
