The Operation Christmas Child shoebox collection is off to a great start, with three more days left to donate. You can take school supplies and small gifts to Ontario Free Methodist Church at 2200 Bedford Boulevard off of Lexington-Springmill Road. 1700 shoeboxes were filled this week in Ontario, with 6000 filled around the state. The local collection site expects to fill 3000 to 4000, with nearly 17,000 in Ohio. The shoeboxes are sent to countries affected by poverty, war, and natural disaster. Ontario Free Methodist Church will accept Operation Christmas Child donations Saturday from 9am to 12pm, Sunday from 12pm to 4pm, and Monday from 9am to 3pm.
