Original Published: 11/22/2013Good news if you're driving *south* on Interstate 71. The Ohio Department of Transportation has opened a third *southbound* lane between State Route 95 and U-S 36, near Delaware. Only four miles, just south of 95, will remain two lanes until next year. O-DOT decided to open the extra lane to help ease holiday traffic. But the return trip won't be as easy. Northbound I-71 between U-S 36 and State Route 95 remains two lanes all the way. All of I-71, from Columbus to Cleveland, will be three lanes both ways by fall of next year.
