The Crawford Park District kicked off its Geocaching Trail for 2013 with a weekend event at Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center outside of Crestline. Crawford Park District Director Bill Fisher says caches were hidden at all seven of the district's parks with participants able to visit each park and log the necessary geocaches to receive their reward. Fisher says the goal of the event is to get people out and have them observe nature with their objective similar, but more of the game-style angle in order to receive their rewards.
