Semi driver seriously injured in crash on I-71

  Original Published: 11/27/2013A Columbus man was seriously injured in an accident involving a semi early this morning on Interstate 71 in Morrow County. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 1:15 a.m. The driver of the semi, 26-year-old, Mohamed Olad, was driving south on Interstate 71, when he drove off the left side of the road and into the median. Olad struck the cable rail and continued south while sliding in the mud of the median. Olad was trapped in the semi for more than hour. He was taken to MedCentral Mansfield Hospital and then flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus where he's listed in critical condition. The crash remains under investigation.
